The Wolf's Den

Subject: The Wolf's Den Sun May 23, 2010 2:13 am

(Warning: This post is for Shippuuden ONLY. Meaning Miharu is much older in this she's not young anymore, so don't be all surprised >__<)

The household was as usual as most, Miharu's home was of suitable house, not too big, one story since she hadn't needed anyone around to need it be any bigger. Inside this home contained 3 bedrooms, one hers, the second room was a spare in case she ever had company which in case was rare, and for the third room it contained a young childs bed with a boy in it. He had short brown hair much like the shade of Miharu's, as he was scrummaging through a toy box of his at the end of the room. Miharu's home contained only two people at the time, herself, and her young boy Kaito which was only about 8 years old at the time. She had an older boy but he had fled long ago, leaving only the two. As for a father, he often visited but was detained. He was of another world, completely. Kaito was some what secluded, due to so much pain his brother had brought him, but he knew that revenge for leaving was not right.
Miharu now came into his room to check on him. "Kaito, dinner will be ready in a bit-"
she then heard a knock on the door, a brow raised as she walked out of his room and down the hall to discover who it had been. Opening it up she saw a familiar person and smiled.
"Oh, hello. What brings you by this evening?" she asked politely a bit surprised but also a little glad to see a familiar face.

"I was curious to see you again, Miharu," I said as I smiled back.

My blue eye found hers and winked.

"Time has been kind to you, my friend."

Mayuri made his way into the human world as he entered the hostile world of the living in search of an old friend. Making his way through this town, he came across the house hold in which she lived. Nervously, he knocked on the door. The footsteps could be heard on the other side of the door, yet faint. Now growing louder, on the other side a click could be accustomed to the ears as the door had now been unlocked. As the door moved it revealed a woman, about a foot shorter than himself, as a smile found itself upon his face in which he tried ever so hard to retain.
"Hn, Miharu."
As much as he was eager to speak with her he pushed his way past her and let himself in.
"So this is where you've been hiding."
A sly smile appeared. Back at Soul Society he had long ago killed her, yet she ended up returning in human form, which is unusual since it works the other way around. Curious to find out how this was possible, he went to investigate, getting the proof for himself.
"Or should I say, Lanna?"

"W-What are you doing here?!" Miharu said looking at him in disbelief. She hadn't seen him in years, so why choose now to visit? As she opened the door he pushed his way through as she was forced to move out of his way. As he had spoken her Shinigami name she was surprised he had recognized her, let alone surprised he even found her here.
She now noticed something odd, he wasn't wearing his usual wear, his hat had been removed as his blue hair hung over his make up and mask. Yet, he still wore his Captain's Haori which was expected.
She chuckled and rubbed the back of her head embarrassed he was coming into her house which was so messy.
"I apologize for not cleaning up. Didn't know I was having company."

"Humph. What am I doing here? Don't be so modest, I came to check up on you." the man walked down the hallway of the small house as he now heard the sound of a youngling, as he now grew agitated. Without further suppressing his irritation, he looked back at Miharu, his golden eyes looking into her crimson ones as he now ran a hand across his sapphire hair.
"I see, so you have a child."
Such feelings for her could not be contained, yet he was baffled by his actions to say even this to her. The man now walked up to her, as their bodies were now only an inch or two apart, his face gazing down at her.
"When." it was not more of a question rather than a demand to know the answer, as he looked at her with firm curiosity and displeasure.

"Came to check up on me? Heh, no Nemu with you today I pressume then? She was the one who replaced me as your Vice Captain at least...I'd assume you'd have her follow you, unless she's back at the lab attending to work?" she grew nervous as he starred into her eyes without removing them. She then quickly looked away, until he approached her to which point they were very close. Still he wouldn't take her eyes off her, as she nervously bit her lip. Only then did she hear his next comment.
"Uh, he's only 7...I can introduce him to you if you'd like?"

(Haha, I'm listening to the song that you and Nemu sing xD)

"Nemu?" he waved a hand indicating it was not important. "Correct, she is back in Soul Society, I have her entering files into the database until my return."
His smile perked up as a tiny laugh escaped his lips in amusement.
The boy now ran out of his room to see who was at the door, as he turned to see the child standing behind him. His hair seemed to be the same shade as Miharu's, a brown, as the hair was also trimmed short. The boy looked up at the man with curiosity and asked who he was. Mayuri looked at Miharu for a brief moment, then bent down knee height to look into the child's eyes. Once doing so the boy looked terrified, since Mayuri's face had a skeletal looking appearance.
"I'm the boogyman." was his response.

(I thought I erased that from every file on the web! Where did you get it?! I'll eliminate whomever stole that song...)

"Don't scare him May." she says using his nickname as she use to call him way back when.
She placed her hands on her hips and looked at him with an upset facial expression. Kaito looked at Mayuri as he starred into his eyes, the child now terrified and ran to his mother grabbing onto her leg.
"It's alright, calm down. He was just teasing he's not really the boogyman." she now looked at Mayuri with an unpleasant tone of voice.
"Why did you have to do that? I understand if it was a joke but he's just a child. Take that into consideration next time."
She now began to usher her son back into his room, as she shut the door and walked back over to the Captain.

"You haven't called me that name in quite some time. Besides, I was just trying to get a rise out of him. Seemed to have failed unfortunately. Oh well, no harm there I suppose. Let's give me the rest of the tour of the house now wont you?"
The man moved the hair out of her face so he could see both eyes now. In a way he hadn't wanted to frighten her by looking directly into her eyes with sincere pleasure, although it was difficult to hold back. Such feelings, he cursed himself for revealing them to her, yet he swore never to do so to another, only this one. If ever showing such feelings like this to someone other than her, never could he forgive himself and be scolded for life.
He now broke apart the stare and began to walk down the hall way, passing by to look in each room. Once reaching the kitchen it led upstairs, since this was a 2 story house.
"Care to escort me?"

I was sitting in my room i lived with my roomate Miharu we were like sisters and i was like a aunt the her son. i heared voiced down the hallway one was Miharus the others was a male voice, one i hadnt heared before. i poked my head out the door.
"is everything alright Miharu?" i asked seeing the vision of a man with gold eyes and dark blue hair. I then decided by the look plastered on Miharus face that unless i was needed ide stay out of this.I went to Kaitos room to keep the child company while his mother was busy.

"I don't believe I even agreed to the tour in the first place, you just let yourself in and simply assumed I'd show you around. It's not like you to just 'Check up on me', now tell me what's up, usually there's something wrong when you come to the human world since this isn't exactly your favorite place to be now is it?"
She now heard Raita up stairs now come down to see who it was, only to apologize for interrupting then left to go check on her son. After watching her run off she turned her attention back to him.
"Give me a straight answer, why are you here?"

"Always like you making exact assumptions, you haven't changed. As yet again your correct, but again, I did come to check up on you, just that there's more to it is all."
He now placed a hand on the wall behind her getting in close, entering her personal space.
"I want to know how it's possible for you to die, come to soul society, die again, and now be back in the human world. I find that very ironic and impossible. Once I found out you were still alive, I instantly knew I needed to research the matter. So," he leaned in closer to her face.
"I want you to come back with me, for experimentation reasons. I promise you, I'll be very gentle...I only want to see brain waves, blood flow, organs still in tact, you know, the usual. Wont you agree to such substantial terms, which I must add seem highly reasonable for a test subject."
Mayuri didn't bother moving as he remained still in closed on her.

"So basically your telling me you want to cut me open, and check and make sure everything is functioning and it should and confirm I'm real?.....I'M REAL!"
She said poking his face over and over.
"I'm not some robot okay, I'm human, I don't know how I got here. I don't want no scars either so no thanks, I don't want to be 'operated' on, besides I hate syringes they freak me out."
By this he might have probably thought she might have been somehow not real or an illusion, which is why he needed evidence and to figure it out himself.
"Well either way, no thanks."
Miharu then placed her hands in her pocket, looking away as he got his face really close to hers.

"I wont use a syringe, I'll use a scalpel to cut you open, you should know that..."
He said with a smile. Her assumptions may be true, but he only relied on the proof that he had to acquire himself.
"Even if you are, real, it still doesn't explain how you got here...I'm glad your alive I assure you, quite joyous really, although it still cannot explain to me the purpose of your existence. You and I both distinctly remember your death now don't we, so how did you end up here without me noticing...? Did you hide yourself, afraid I might kill you again?"
Mayuri placed his fingers under her chin, making her face him as he looked into her eyes with lust.
"I would never do such a thing ever again. I promise you, it was a mistake."
He remembered her death clearly, in fact mourned over her death for years, living with the regret. Knowing she was still alive even after that incident made him feel enlightened.
Clearly her scent lingered off her body as he inhaled it in, she smelled the same as of their last encounter, of sweet vanilla. The aroma drew him in but he was careful not to become overwhelmed by a simple smell.

"I'm not afraid of that...Besides, I'm much stronger than I use to be, you can't kill me again even if you tried."
Miharu then grit her teeth showing her canine teeth, showing how serious she was. Her answer was absolute and final, no meant no, she wasn't going and that was it. Still, as he spoke of that frightful day the memories came flooding back into her head, making her want to cry since it was so frightening. The female clenched her fist tightly beginning to get angry turning her sadness into anger. He then brought her face up to look him in the eyes as she could see the truth behind them, or so she thought. His eyes often deceived people, making people think what they want. Could he really be telling the truth? Out of all people she should know the most, she was in fact closest to him than anyone had ever been.
"I want you to leave. If you came here just to anger me it's working...It was all in the past, you were in the past, I have a son to raise, I don't have time for you Mayuri."

He was very good when it came to persuading, and she was his favorite at this. His plan was to influence her to allow him back into her life, let her think she needed him, even though it was the complete opposite. He still had not moved his hand from the spot, holding her in place.
"Oh dear, this is the second time I've told you. I came to check up on you, not begin a fight, you know me well better than that...Even if you claim to not have time for me, you actually do, now that I'm invading your own household, it's only common courtesy to let me stay, which in that own sense, isn't that having me in your life? I think so."
He knew he had her stuck in a position she couldn't get out of, Miharu was exactly where he wanted her in his clutches.
The scientist now got in closely, almost touching her lips but stopped right there to speak.
"Admit it...You need me in your life...I can see it in your eyes, you miss me, in fact the moment you opened the door I could see that gleam in your eye of joy. Now, is that not a correct hypothesis?"

"Your wrong." she stammered looking at him with anger filled eyes.
"I was only surprised that you came here...And I really doubt you came to check up on me, for what reason would you have when there's far better things to do back at the lab? I would think other things strike your interest instead of me..."
She now folded her arms not backing down, if it ended in a fight so be it, she wasn't going to give in.
"Why don't you admit it then...Huh? Your the one who misses me...If that's why you really 'came to check up on me.'"
She needed to go check on Kaito and see what he was doing but he still had her in a position she couldn't move from.

"You know me well. I don't admit such vile feelings. But if you must hear them to make you feel better than yes, I have missed you. A lot..."
He now got in closer to her as he pressed his body against her so even if she wanted to run under his arm to escape she couldn't. His gold eyes observed her facial expression, the anger she gave off amused him. She was rather different than when he remember, much more kind hearted and not so easily tempered.
Mayuri then brought his head to the crook of her neck, his hair hanging down as it brushed across her shoulder as he whispered.
"I will always, have time for you even if you don't for me..."
